I have a 1992 yamaha secaii, and it has been amazing with very little issues up till now. this morning I turned the key and nothing happened. I checked the leads on the switch with my multimeter and the switch has continuity as it should(or so I think), when I measure the voltages between the connection to the switch, the voltages between the connectors are all 13.2 and 12.8, when I connect the switch, and measure from the red wire to the batt, it reads the 13.2 it should, but when I turn the key, that voltage becomes zero. I looked at my wiring harness and the red wire has some bad oxidization, but it still registers voltage through the cable,(I ordered a new harness for it and new switch to be safe), is there any other things I should check while I await those parts? am I missing anything?

Thank you for your time reading this, any help or advse is appreciated

EDIT(I figured it out): I completely blanked on the oxidized cable I saw. I cut the section out that was oxidized and put a new section of wire in with some connectors and it works!!!
