Hey guys! I'm new here so please forgive any mistakes.
I have a 1992 XJ600 that I picked up at the end of last winter. So far this season I have done the valve clearance, carb rebuild, carb sync, intake boots, main and pilot upjet (it has aftermarket pipes and pod filters), and I reset the float heights. This is in order of jobs done. After I did the valve clearance it was running pretty good, except for idle where it would either be stumbling about or up at 3k RPM, but when riding it was fine. Now after doing all the other work, the bike still wont idle properly, and now bogs completely at anything higher than 1/4-1/3 throttle. Right now the only way to accelerate past 20mph is to limp it there in third and then bang it down two gears so that i can hold it wide open and accelerate. Does anybody know anything else I could try? The bogging only began after I replaced the intake boots.
