I am working on the wife's new (old) machine. It is going pretty well and I have high hopes that it will all come around.
It does rattle like hell on startup but I am hoping it is just the dowel behind the clutch.
the clutch does not appear to slip although I have not run the bike hard. But the engagement point is WAY out on the lever.
It doesn't matter how I adjust it or where. By the time I reach the engagement point I have too many RPMs built up. I don't
think I could get used to this and definitely don't want my wife on it yet.
I have ordered new plates, both steel and fiber. But is there a chance that something else is going on here since it does not
appear to be slipping.
Fat Eddy, I have tried to PM you as we are neighbors but don't know if you got the message. I am asking for A BIT of help.
thanks all.
Nice looking '94 down in Longmont right now $1350. (craigslist) Wish I had the funds.
