Hi, thanks for letting me join.
As well as a see-them-everywhere 1200GS I also now have a '97 XJ600S, bought for a 1,000-mile charity run next year.
It's clearly had a hard life and I suspect been neglected, but to be fair the PO largely sorted the big issues, if not made it beautiful. It's very different to the GS but I must admit, I quite like riding it! I'm gradually working through a list of outstanding fixes (leaky exhaust, leaky valve cover gasket, leaky fork seals, immovable drain plug...)
I do have a specific question, though, so I'll post that in a moment.
