Thinking about picking up a Seca II as a project bike...thoughts?

Hi, Yamaha SR250 rider from Syracuse NY. I may be on the verge of picking up a $300 Seca II as a project bike. I'd love to convert one to a street fighter style bike. The one in question is a 92 with 33,000 miles. Needs a new clutch, locks and a carb cleaning. What do you think? Are these bikes usually a pain to work on or is this doable?
