Hi i have a xj 600s and after 3-4 days the battery ( 12v 8ah gel battery) is at 3 volt and not even the dashboard lights will turn on, i have testet the battery after a full recharge is was at 12.84 volt after 15 hours it was at 12.66 volt and after 4 hours on the bike it was at 12.63 volt so i would say the battery is good enough.
I then tried to measure the alternator/generator, with warm engine and at 5000 rpm as the manual says and it was at 14.40 volt and should be between 14.20-15.20 volt so it should generate enough power to recharge the battery.
so do anyone have a suggestion to what could be wrong? or should i just try a new battery?
