I'm in dire need of some help. The sun is out and I can't ride my bike due to a lack of rear caliper at the moment. I suffered the sheared bleed nipple, tried to fix it and cracked the caliper body in the process. The long and short of it is I need a new caliper bu an xj600 caliper is very rare due this being a common issue.
I am trying to find a DEFINITIVE answer as to whether the xj900 / thundercat caliper is a straight swap. I know the pistons are bigger but does the caliper work without any snatching, suffice to clearance of the disc, etc. I am also aware that a new brake line would be needed. I was kinda thinking that the caliper might need an xj900 bracket as the distance between the mounting points might be larger.
Please help me it's killing me not having use of my bike.
