Hi guys,
So after storing my 86 xj 600 during winter my bike totally refuses to start, and I can't figure out why. The battery has been trickle-charging the last month, so the battery is fully juiced and in good condition.

When I push the start button:
It cranks well, sounds like it always has. It just doesn't fire up.

What I've checked:
- Run-switch works properly, it doesn't crank at all if I set it to off-position.
- the carbs get air and I can feel them sucking air when it's cranking
- checked the floater bowls, and they all get plenty of fuel. Haven't drained them though.
- all fuses checked and in good condition
- gear is set to neutral, with green light in dash
- red oil lamp lights up when cranking
- unsure about kickstand switch, but if this were faulty, it should still fire, but die when put in gear...
- checked spark plugs, they do indeed deliver a good spark when cranking
- clutch in/put, in gear or not, no difference.

I even tried pushing it up a hill and push-starting it I'm gear, but it just completely refuses to start. I've been thinking so much about this, and can't figure out what. It gets air, spark and fuel, so I can't see why it won't start up. Something is preventing it to fire, but I can't figure out why.

Previous owner said that it was a bit hard to start when it's cold, but it should fire regardless if I push-start it, shouldn't it? Starting to think there's more to it than "hard to start in cold weather".

Any bright ideas?
