bolt size? rusty caps, suggestions?

Howdy,
I have a couple of questions. The first is, I am missing a bolt on the drive cover for the sprocket, Can someone let me know what size it is?
the other is these cap nuts are rusting, any suggestions on replacement options( stainless, aluminum). Can I just remove and replace or will it affect something internally when I loosen them?
