I have a friend that is a SCCA racer and he gave me some good tricks for paint, These tricks are for when you need to use a brush, for what ever reason that may be. He said he mostly uses Rustoleum paints, but would work with most anything, He said he uses a additive from home depot called penetrol I think that's spelled right. its a auto leveler and a paint harder , makes the brush strokes smooth out, also he said to make your paint have a metallic look to mix 4 table spoons of the rustoleum or what ever brand Hammerd paint to each cup of paint. SO I tried it on a outboard motor cover for my old fishing boat. I used black paint, and black hammerd paint, and the additive, I was shocked at how well it turned out it truly looks like someone with a lot more skill than me painted it. I will use this trick on lots of small pieces on my bike.
