Target fixation

Hey guys, so I have a few hundred miles on the xj after about 10 years of not riding. The pothole situation here in louisville has had me brush up on one thing in particular...target fixation! It is an active roe you have to take to train your brain because some if these things can swallow your front wheel!
So, I'm looking for tips and suggestions, training vids and whatnot. I'm getting better but any good advise is great to have.
