Unidentified gasket for engine rebuild

Hey guys,
I found an unknown gasket in my gasket kit. Can anyone identify it? It is a big circle, no shaping to it, and the cross section is just a plain circle. It is pretty soft material, almost like a foam.
I can't find this gasket in the FSM, so I am thinking it may be unnecessary.
