Clusters from other bikes?

So I'm in need of a cluster for the spring. I was gonna go with a digital one such as a trail tech or acewell, but I like an analog gauge better. I am not so good with electrical wiring and retrofitting stuff, but I hope to learn. I'm looking for something that won't be a nightmare to wire up to the existing harness (if thats possible).
I was looking at the Yamaha Radian guages and they look like be a good match. Anyone know if these would be compatible, harness and speedo cable wise? Maybe something off a nighthawk or similar bikes? Or a universal set of guages
If you could share your cluster set up and how much work you had to get it to function.
