I seem to be cursed with this!
my 1997 xj 600s has once again decided to throw away the front sprocket nut and locking tab..
i bought it last january had no problems untill this year the back wheel locked up, chain smashed my indicator off and then broke the sprocket cover, got the cover off to see a nut with no thread and no locking tab!
got on yambits ordered the tab but couldnt find a xj 600 nut, found out that the fzr 600 fits so got it ordered and fitted torqued up all good... 2 months later i decided to change the broken sprocket cover
Took it off to see the nut sat inside the cover with no thread!
URGHH got it replaced again with a fzr 600 nut and got it torqued up properly by a professional.. now about a month on its gone again!!
The thread on the shaft is fine, its not 100% perfect but about 96% fine.
Any ideas why? any ideas if i can get a nut with a longer thread that wont strip.
