throttle lock for xj600 ?

hello!
anyone used a 8M4991 YELLOW CATERPILLAR SILICONE O-RINGS as a throttle lock for pre-diversion xj600 ?

thinking about buying a pack, because in longer rides ( 80 km and more in one shot) my right hand start to some grow numb. and if i can took out left hand and some shake it, and take a small rest, then when i took out right hand, trottle releases and bike start slow down. as so i think - that throttle lock may be useful for longer trips.
anyone test that?
