Time to share my pictures of my XJ with you.
This is how I bought it in 2005, nearly stock:
The first things I changed was the handlebar and the the FZR 4"x18" rim with 160/60R18 tire
Second was to remove the fairing
Then some new rear sets from Gimbel
For a better look I polished the break pump
This is how I mounted the original instumentcluster
And some Photoshop renderings of some paintwork
