I did an oil change on my 92 with 28k miles and it was filled with metal flake. I didn't notice that the last time I did an oil change, but I'm not sure it was warm at the time so the flakes may have just been sequestered at the bottom of the pan.
My first bike, an 82 XZ550 Vision had the same thing going on but it was a know issue with the starter clutch.
Since I've got some tapping, and flakes in the oil I'm wondering if there was any similarly know issues that might cause metal in oil and tapping with the seca.
I'm not up for pulling this bike apart when I already have one basket case.
Anyone have any ideas?
