finally got around to fixing up my 94 xj. fully cleaned the tank, new battery, inspected airbox, etc. had a rebuild kit for the carbs but when i took the caps off everything looked super clean so i didnt even want to mess with them (may be relevant that the bowls were dry. bike sat for a good 2 years with a little non ethanol fuel) put everything back together on the bike and ran new fuel lines due to them being brittle but im 99% sure i rerouted everything correctly.
my problem is that after trying to start it (cycled the starter for probably 1 minute total over like 10 minutes) i got nothing. spark is good and im feeling compression coming out of the exhaust. but after checking the drain screws on the carb, only the 2 left hand side ones have anything in them and the other 2 are dry. i checked the fuel line to the carbs and its pumping gas when i try to start it but nothings getting to that right side. tried leaning the bike to the right when i tried again incase the kickstand lean was too much but still nothing.
anyone have any possible on the bike fixes or should i just take the carbs back off an attempt a full rebuild. Thanks for any advice
the fuel tank wasnt rusty when i cleaned it fyi
