Well, I've been trying to start the bike without the airbox on which I thought was reasonable as I managed it the last time the bike was running. However the carbs are probably a bit out of shape as I've had them apart and I imagine among other things the idle isn't even nearly right.
But the bloody airbox is impossible to install. I would rank it as the hardest thing I have ever had to install ever. So I try to put it on the carb intakes but the airbox boots won't really go over the intakes, even if they do the airbox just sort of springs back and won't stay on. So there's no way for me to tighten it. Has the airbox just gotten old and the rubber too stiff?
