Hi,
My xj is a rolling restoration. Done most of the back end - new tyre on freshly painted rim, swinging arm painted, Brake caliper tidied up but with a problem! One of the two bleed nipples sheared off - I have drilled the old one out and tapped the hole for a new M8 Bleed nipple. This has worked to a degree - closes ok but fluid creeps up the thread when bleeding.
Plan B is epoxy an M8 bolt in the hole and then replace the existing banjo bolt with one with a built in bleed nipple. Does anyone know the pitch on our banjo bolts - they are M10 and I suspect either 1mm or 1.25 mm pitch...
Lock-down due to Covid has given me plenty of time to work on the bike so hope to have it fully sorted and ready for a good ride once lock down ends....
Cheers All
