Quick introduction,
Got myself a xj600 as my first bike last november. Little did i know it was in a desperate condition.
So Far (Valve shims, New clutch, Springs and cable, Back Tire, Chain, Carb clean and the bike is still running much better but still not completely how I like.
I just picked up a engine and i plan to overhaul it, ill record and take photos of the process. Would like to hear you guys opinions. Here is my attack plan. am i missing anything?
1. Dismantle engine
2. Clean Parts
3.Hone Cylinder
4. Paint Engine Parts [ Polish fins > Mask > Paint ]
5. New Head Gasket > Paste Gasket for rest
6. New Bearings
1. Should i clean the engine in a ultrasonic cleaner
2.What bearings need changed?
HAve i missed anything?
