Hello everybody!
I bought a 93 XJ 600 Diversion with the intention of restoring it to its finest state.
I noticed that it suffer of the common problem of the oil warning light turning on while running cold, specially while riding uphill. This bike, however, does something really weird: while the oil light turns on for signalling a dangerous state (other than low oil level, it can be for instance when you try to start the engine with a gear on and the side stand out) it blows the horn! Picture me riding a motorcycle with the horn going constantly off...how embarassing! I temporary disconnected one of the leads to the horn, so I won't have to stop every time.
My question is: is this a feature, like it gives an audio feedback of the warning as well? Or is there something wrong in the electrical wiring, like a current leak to the horn while turning on the oil light? I'm asking this because I haven't read about someone else with the same issue...
Thanks in advance to whoever will shed some light on this!
