Hi All i have just had to do this to replace the Idler Clutch and starter gears.

http://www.xjrider.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7592

When i did actually split the cases there was no gasket installed, so i had a look on PartZilla and could not see one listed.

My question is, when i reassemble the engine, do I need to make a gasket from oil resistant gasket paper or are I able to use a gasket compound glue/cement.

Making a gasket would be a PITA.. big time so hoping for better solutions

thanks
