How to: Fix a Broken Relay Connector Pin

I have a relay which has a broken pin in the relay housing where the harness plug connects. Rather than buy a new/used one, I repaired it. Here's how:

First, the original pin is broken cleanly with the surface inside the box and cant make contact with the little stub of metal. I began by drilling a hole in the housing next to the broken pin and inserting a short section of wire, which I then soldered to the metal stub.

I then removed the corresponding wire from the harness plug and configured a bullet connector for that circuit which will now be external to the relay. I also removed a small chunk of plastic on the bottom of the plug to clear the new wire and soldered inside the relay.

This repair works fine and saved me some cash.
