Hey guys

So with the summer in full swing I would love to find away to safely take my clubs to the course without having to carry them on my back?

As my bike is my sole method of transport, getting a cab to the course and back is getting a tad expensive, have any of you had any experience with carriers or just strapping them to the bike?

Superb idea! I appreciate your subtlety and discretion, and I think I know what you're talking about.
You need to be able to access them swiftly, and you don't want them on your back as they WILL smash your back if you crash.
I've thought of this conundrum myself... On my old Kawasaki, it was easy, because it didn't have a fairing, and the radiator shoulder guards let you attach things to it. This bike doesn't have radiator shoulder guards, but the options are basically the same. I figure, I can carry my longer tools (for emergency repairs, etc.) to the front of the bike or towards the rear. The front is preferable because you can keep an eye on them, but the rear has an obvious solution (the grab rails).

My solution: a length of tubing (steel or copper or PVC) attached nearly vertically to the bike. The tubing should be open at one end and closed in the other. The tools should slot into there and be held securely, yet be easy to access. The question is how you would attach it. My suggestion is to buy 2 very large (15cm diameter) jubilee clips, and attach the tubing to the front downtubes (of the frame), low enough so that the movement of the handlebars side to side, and your hands, don't interfere with the tube or its contents while riding the bike. Hope this helps.

Maybe something like this rack? should be easy to make one yourself that connects to the bike via the pillion handles. if you remove the tail plastic section

Oh come on now, you're not using a 9-iron for the zombie apocalypse? A little ride-by head smashing?

:D

Coincidentally and completely OT, even though it has no relation to what's already been said, I want to say that the zombie apocalypse is already here, for us over here. This is what we have to face when stopped at the lights, and remember, we're not allowed to carry weapons over here:

Look at these stats:

And the rise of the acid attack:

Schoolkids aged 12 throwing acid at each other during football games, and a zombie in a mask explains his motivations for disfiguring the 'haves', and anyone who has more than he does, and women (for extra kicks in his grudge against womankind) all in this video:
