So I'm kicking around an idea that I haven't seen just strolling through pictures. I've seen tons of modded customs and I'm wanting to do some work to mine as well; however, I'm looking to do something a little different. I'm thinking about fabbing an sv subframe to my xj and finding some way to route the exhaust in front of the swing arm, up under the subframe and out the back in the center of the bike...now I know there is going to be some conflicts in space and things of that nature, but would this be doable? I understand it will be a lot of work.

Don't know if you've seen it, but check out Casper's project '94. He's done an undertail style exhaust.

That's the only one I've seen, I haven't seen any completed photos though, I'd like to see it all done. That's something I'd really love to do, with a different style exit though. I don't plan on any fairings at all. I want it completely bare.

I think its the longest running project on the board. Didn't he move it over, already in project status, from the old Seca2.Forumup site??mikee112 wrote:We all would !Sugarbaker01 wrote:That's the only one I've seen, I haven't seen any completed photos though, I'd like to see it all done.

I'd love to see it done, that's almost exactly the look I want.

This project started in Jan 2010 with the latest iteration beginning with my join date here of Mar 2012.
I have been dragging my heels with this as I have almost accepted the necessity of a custom swingarm / rear shock set up to allow for better exhaust routing. (I plan on getting back to this very soon.)
As for SV subframe + undertail, I don't see it working well. Maybe a CBR, ZX style subframe and exhaust mount.
Men do not quit playing because they grow old; they grow old because they quit playing.

I definitely like your setup a lot better.
