I know its a wet clutch, meaning that its soaked in oil, but is that just it. I heard people talking about a hydraulic clutch and a dry clutch? What are the differences. I'm trying to diagnose a "No Shift" situation so id like to know.

You're confusing two different things; but that's okay.

The Seca II has a wet clutch. That means its bathed in oil. Some Ducati's have a dry-clutch; a dry clutch is similar to a car clutch in that it is not submersed but dry and exposed to air.

A hydraulic clutch simply refers to the way the clutch is actuated. Hydraulic means it is actuated hydraulically; just like your front brake. The clutch has a master cylinder and uses hydraulic fluid to push a slave cylinder to actuate the clutch. The other type is a cable clutch; that is a cable actuated clutch and is what the Seca II uses.

One with a rattley bearing and a slightly too small or worn woodruff key?!
Current bike year 2000 Yamaha XJ600N also called Seca II or Diversion 600. On an older bike air cooling is a blessing, no sludge and complexity of badly-maintained liquid cooling. Other bikes were: BMW K100 roadster; Honda VF750S Sabre with anti-dive.
