I've never named my Seca though I have friends that refer to her as Ole Reliable as I've mentioned in my build thread.

Fact is of all the bikes, cars and trucks that I've owned I've only named two. My '98 Buell was Marilyn because she was really beautiful with a nasty self-destructive streak. And my '08 Miata is Michelle. Not sure why or how I came up with that but that hit me the day I was driving her home...

I do know that every vehicle I've ever owned has been female other than the '87 Mazda pick-up truck I owned...

Sometimes you will here me refer to her as the Mean Green Machine. But most of the time I call it The XJ I guess I'm not very creative. But I can tell you it is female lol...

- I call my yellow '94 Shooting Star and had RCRX for a license plate (obviously, I'm a huge Speed Racer fan). If I ever get to do a rebuild, it will be a better shade of yellow, black frame, black engine with polished fin ends, and a few other chrome/polished pieces. <sigh!> I dream!

- My red '93 is named Ruby. No custom plate for Ruby this year; hopefully next year.

This was the day I bought Shooting Star for $600

Don't really name my bikes. In fact, when I refer to it, I get all bipolar. Sometimes I call it the Seca. Other times I call it the XJ. <shrug>

However, if I did have to name it, I'd probably call it Seka. :brow:

:ponder: Most of the time I call my near all black Seca II, the "black one". While rideing it yesterday I thought about calling it/him/her "Black Bart". "Black Betty"? :???:

'it', the bike, the XJ, red bike, black bike, old dog - never occurred to me to name either, or the cars ..somehow don't think of the bikes as female, or the cars they are sort of relatively reliable friends - like the look of bikes more than cars though and some bikes more than others - just an exciting thing to own and ride, makes travelling more fun :)

Never had a proper name for my bike, but before I had it painted this winter I called it kayak.
It looked like a kayak that had stayed on the sun for decades and in parts the colour faded completly.
May stick to this or go for diva... :ponder:
