- D'oh! I can't believe I didn't think to suggest checking that. Mine looked just like that when I first got it, but the person rode it to my house so it at least started.
- To get a filter immediately, you'll just have to try your luck with local shops. If you don't have a cycle shop around, try Napa or Carquest as they tend to have a wider variety of parts available. Other than that, online shops like BikeBandit.com definitely have options.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of performance increase would I see if I went with something like a K&N filter?radare wrote:I've used Emgo filters consistently without trouble:

No performance increase, unfortunately. The bikes were well designed from the factory and tuned for maximum output. There are articles in The Wall where they tried to squeeze more power with a jet kit and exhaust and ended up losing a few HP. Keep her stock for best performance and spend the money on some heated grips

Guys, do you think this chain needs to be replaced? This is the chain on my new Seca and at the current time I don't have a replacement. W/ only a little over 2,000 miles this bike has every original part.

Get the rear wheel up off the ground and rptate the wheel by hand so you can feel the chain as it moves around the sprockets. If there is any stiffness, it should be replaced. Also the rubber on the tire is cracked so that needs to be replaced as well.
Better to be over the hill than under it.

I am not so sure about the chain needing replaced but that rear tire needs replaced pronto!! those dry-rot cracks in the sidewall are a no-go and a saftey hazard.
