- I've been wanting to get a cover for Ruby for awhile, but on my budget, it's never been high enough priority to spend $50+ for something of decent quality. I currently live in an apartment without even a carport, so poor Ruby sits out in the elements all the time. Usually, I get her into storage for the winter, but that didn't work out this year, so I knew I had to break down and finally buy a cover. After doing a bunch of shopping online looking for a fair combination of quality and value, I stumbled across the XYZCTEM All Season Black Waterproof Sun Motorcycle Cover on Amazon. It's only $19.98, eligible for Prime, and has a solid 4 out of 5 stars with 600 reviews. After looking at the specs and reading a bunch of reviews, I decided it would be worth a try. I was right!

- They have a few different sizes available. I opted for the XXL that says, "Fits up to 108" Motors" beacuse I have hard luggage on my bike. It's a pretty perfect fit. It's exactly the right length and width to fit snugly without being tight and hard to put on. Without the luggage, it may be a bit bigger than needed both in width and length, but would probably still work.

- It's a universal design without any real specific shape. It doesn't specify which end is the front, and it fits well either way. There's elastic at both ends to help keep it taut around the wheels, and no elastic on the sides so it's still easy to work with. It's very easy for one person to put on in just a minute or two.

- The material seems to be good quality. It's very light and smooth; I'm not at all worried about it scratching the finish. It's got the special high-temp material at the bottom too, so you can put it on while the bike is still hot without worry of it melting. I haven't really tested that yet, but I have put it on still warm without issues.

- On one end, there's two nice large metal eyelets that you can easily fit a chain or cable through for locking the bike up. On the other end, there's a simple buckle strap to help hold it in place. I don't lock mine, so I just use a small bungee cord through the eyelets to hold that end down. I do think it could really benefit from one more strap in the middle to go under the belly of the bike, but it's fine without it. We've had some pretty strong wind in the last couple months, and it's held up just fine. We had one particular weekend last month with record winds over 60 mph, and the cover stayed on and did not tear. The reason I say the extra strap would be helpful is that when the wind kicks up, it can get underneath the loose sides and balloon the cover up. When that happens, it often pulls it up over the exhaust and pegs, leaving it not fully protected, but it's not enough to worry about. Another strap (or eyelets for a bungee cord) would easily resolve that problem. However, like I said, it's never come off, so it's still doing it's job anyway.

- It does seem to offer great protection. It's had snow and ice piled up on it with no damage. It's survived light hail with no damage. It says it protects agains UV rays (have to take their word on that). Also, it seems to be a natural poop repellent, lol. For some reason, birds have always loved to poop on my bike; a new spot pretty much every day. I've never seen any on this cover, though. That's real protection, lol. Anyway, while I've still found moisture under the cover, I think it's mostly condensation, and only just a little. I've never found the cover soaked through. As snow melts, it runs off the cover; doesn't soak through.

- It also comes with a nice little storage bag so you can take the cover with you. That said, the storage bag is quite small, so I don't know how hard it will be to put the cover back in the bag. It's nice to have, but I haven't been daring enough to test my origami skills putting it back in there.

- Overall, I highly recommend this cover. It's a bargain at only $20, and I've been very impressed with it so far. When I came home on the 60+ mph wind day, I expected to find my cheap cover torn up or blown away altogether. I was surprised to find it still in place and 100% intact doing it's job. That was $20 well spent! I received it January 4th, installed it that day, and it's out there on the bike right now still in perfect condition (after another windy day yesterday, too). From the weather we've had the last 3 months, it's already been worth the $20 I paid for it.
