Since last Fall, I've dropped 40-45 lbs and while a good problem to have, most of my bike gear is now too big. I have a Teknic Supervent Mesh jacket, a Tourmaster Coaster 3 leather jacket for cooler days, and Speed and Strength 'Rage With the Machine' jeans.
I'm trying to find a place to resell my current stuff (this looks decent: http://www.motorcyclegear.com/info_page ... loset.html), but in the meantime am trickling in a few new things. I did a lot of shopping around, and decided on a Cortech GX Sport Air 4.0 jacket just last night. I went with black/hi-viz for color. My Teknic is white and silver, which I like for the warmer months but this will be fine.
I'd been eyeing a couple other models, but one nice thing about the Cortech is that it includes TWO underlayers (one for rain/wind and one for thermal), and the price is excellent. I ended up fitting in a medium (5'11" * 185 lbs).
My Speed and Strength jeans are.........well, ugly. Horribly so. Also, now they're too big. So, I wanted something pretty specific: less ugly, includes both knee AND hip armor pockets, and has Cordura weave. I landed on some of the new Rev'It! products. The one that fit the bill for me, or seemed to were the Seattle jeans.
...I did say "less ugly." These aren't exactly sexy, but that's not the point!
I'll be sure to post some actual feedback on these for you guys!
Gear, accessories, gadgets, etc that make your ride more enjoyable.

I actually sent those back, wifey didn't like the color. Changed them out for the Austin, which is the same except a little lighter. Plus I think the Seattle had button fly, which I hate. (If I'm thinking of the right ones, maybe not.)radare wrote:Interested to hear what you think of Rev'It's jeans. I have a Rev'it jacket and two pairs of Revit gloves and I like their gear a lot. I've been thinking about riding in something other than Levi's.
They're skinnier than I'm used to... not really "skinny" jeans but still more than I'm used to. The hip armor makes them bulky on the sides, but safety > style. I haven't been riding with them yet, but will probably bring them to NH with me this coming weekend. Going on my second annual bike ride with my Dad up there, renting another Harley so we can do a couple hundred miles. I'll let you know!
