Just get a new pinlock from your dealer, eBay or anywhere else. Throw out the old, put in the new and you are fine again. It'll probably be around $20. Cheaper than a new helmet. ;)

After trying a couple helmets this is my current one. Super light and good at highway speeds. Will it match my Seca once I have "bratted" it?? Probably not but that is A-OK.

Forgot to share that I bought myself an LS2 M436 Pioneer Trigger helmet a couple of weeks ago. I used to have an Airoh S4, but that was a bit too big to be snug on my head (yes, I know, I shouldn't have bought it then), and losing weight didn't help that situation.

Anyway, I bought the black trigger version. Lots of vents, tight feel and the sun visor doesn't tug too much on the wind. Well, not for me anyway. The built in sun visor works great and I like it. Keep in mind that, when I do long runs that take a couple of hours, I still use my HJC SY-MAXIII because that has less wind noise (I mean, you do have a visor and lots of vents on this LS2) and it has the bluetooth phone interface which allows me to call home to let them know when to expect me. ;)

This HJC CL-17 Hi-Viz lid is the best looking Hi-Viz helmet I've ever seen. I couldn't believe it when I realized that that brand and style that fits my head so well that I have owned 4 of them over the years came in this color when I decided to go Hi-Vis all around. Some day I'll pay extra for more quiet, but for now I love this look.

The full package...I positively glow in the dark!

Shoei RF-1200 (SoCal summer = deep smoke visor most days)
"FreedConn" Bluetooth/FM Kit
HellMounts RF-1200 GoPro Mount (GoPro was in my hand for these photos, but I have an old 2010 HD Hero)
How do you like it? The RF-1200 seems VERY popular. I very nearly bought one, a few months ago as an upgrade. Decided to wait. My lid is below...

Mine is a Bell Vortex, the color scheme is "Flack." Bought it last year, along with the bike. :) I got a tinting faceshield for it, as well. Since I wear glasses, that's nice - I don't have to take sunglasses on and off.

And riding atop "Finch" ....

I still have it, great helmet with lots of features for very little money. DOT and Snell M2010 certification, safety is a good thing.

The major downside to the Vortex is the noise. OH....MY....GOD is it loud. Passes a TON of air, so it's great in the heat, but I can NOT ride without earplugs.

I love, love, love the 1200. I have been trying to find a second lid I like as much, but haven't. That said, I have a Shoei-shaped head so it fits well... But what divides it for me is the interior's plushness vs. everyone else. It's like a velour couch in there...
