Very interesting thread this one. I recently purchased a Mitone MITSC10 which is a Go Pro clone but at a fraction of the cost. I'm not sure if they're available in general outlets. I bought mine at Amsterdam Schipol airport. There's no doubt that, as a helmet cam, they're a bit on the clumpy side. I mounted mine on the right hand side near the buckle. Most time was spent getting the right combination of fittings to achieve the right view. I'm quite pleased with the results as it gives you a perfect 1st person view of your ride as the cam is at eye level.
Here's a link to a test I did to see how this view position worked out

To be honest, mounting on the helmet feels awkward and a little too in the way to be convenient for everyday use. I like the fact that you always know your current speed/revs/indicators etc but once it's in place, you'll have to use your smart phone to check the picture and so on.
The bottom line is that I want a dash cam to show what's in front when and if things go "pear shaped"

Most likely the music he chose to add to it. If that's the case, try music from the FreeMusicArchive. They generally have an open-use license agreement for the music there.

Or YouTube its self provides free music;
1: go to "video manager"
2: click on "Edit"
3: click on "Audio"
4: choose from thousands of free tunes :)

Sweet. I didn't know they did that. I'm going to play around with it tonight.

I bhaught a cheap SJ5000X camera almost 6 months ago. Till now i'm not complaining about the quality. its 1080p quality is pretty good for a 140 euro price point and also does 4k@24fps but 1080p@60fps just looks better. Here is a small video and sorry for my language :quiet:
