Ok guys, a question for all you, much more experienced, riders. I want to be able to use the bike for work trips as well as fun. So, I need to be able to carry my laptop, an extra pair of shoes, the iPad and general bobs and bits. When I travel on public transport, I can just take a backpack. However, I am not sure that I would want to do that on the bike. What would be your thoughts?
Also, for my XJ600 model 51J I have not been able to locate a decently priced luggage rack or hard top case or side cases. I did come across general soft saddle bags from Givi. Pic below. Is this something that would fit my XJ600? And is it fixed sturdy enough that I can trust it with $2K worth of equipment at 85Mph?
