Hello and thank you for existing!

Post by Xjxjxr » Sun Aug 06, 2017 2:33 pm

I recently aqqired an XJ600s from 1992 as my first big bike, and I'm so happy and excited! Its missing some parts, but building and repairing is all part of the journey. When I first found this place I was very happily reminded of one of the internets rules : if something exists, there is an internet community surrounding it. Boy was I happy this rules still holds true for a bike that is 7 years older than me! Thanks so much guys! I really look forward to owning and repairing my XJ!

Hello and welcome. Your post reminded me of the early days of the internet, and Usenet. If someone was into something, there was a Usenet group for it. Just the names of all the different groups were an eye-opener. Many of them were so exotic, that one would never have guessed that such activities even existed, let alone that there were fan clubs for them. It was interesting reading through the names of all the Usenet groups.
The XJ600 has one of the best user communities on the internet. People like them, because they're strong bikes. There are lots of bikes, particularly old Kawasakis, that even their owners don't really like, and they have hardly anyone in their owner communities. The XJ600S was a good choice.

Hello and welcome to the site! Got any picts yet?

I also remember all those usenet groups, still use some of them. Some of them had some interesting names that's for sure. I've had my XJ600 for several years now, bought it in Jan 2014 with 13k miles on it, now Aug 2017 it has 59k miles. I'm hoping for it to last many more years and miles before I have to replace it. Thanks to Radare for this website, it's greatly appreciated.
