Hello everyone and a big thank you to the admin peeps and site guru for allowing me to join!! Yay.

Anyway - could anyone please advise: If a 1992 XJ600S Diversion is running a 4;1 Motad Nexus, can it also have the center/main stand fitted? :prob:

Hi, Welcome to the forum :)
Yes the centre stand will fit with a motad, here is a photo I pulled off the interweb and you can see the centre stand is fitted :)

That's my bike!!! same colour and model anyway!!

Thanks for the information, I'll be purchasing a used center stand in the near future. If anyone has a surplus stand (1992 xj600s) with hardware please let me know and we can do a deal, I don't care if it needs any welding as that's what I do. l - I'm in UK, LEEDS. Why the stand was removed by previous owner I don't know as they are sooo useful.

Also - is it common for the Diversion to have a clunky gear box? (20K), I recently changed the oil/filter with 10/40 semi synthetic and that has helped a little. Regards, Mark

Yep. It's most noticeable in second gear. Unless it won't shift or requires significant pedal effort, it's not generally a problem. Chain tension can also affect shift quality, BTW.
