I keep calling them knee pads. Until i made these i had never had tank protectors either. I notice the design of some bikes builds in these in effect. One beemer i had, had a kind of frontal section to the saddle that reached pretty far. Both sides. Diversions or xj seca 2 used to be the very ordinary, now if you are not a rebel you are certainly not mainstream.
Current bike year 2000 Yamaha XJ600N also called Seca II or Diversion 600. On an older bike air cooling is a blessing, no sludge and complexity of badly-maintained liquid cooling. Other bikes were: BMW K100 roadster; Honda VF750S Sabre with anti-dive.

Here are mine!
I could'nt remove the old one, because the previous owner repainted the tank... and to save some work, he painted on top of it and then remove the excess paint.... what an *sshole!
