Very interesting.

I was wrong with the washers under the caliper, my bad. I am not sure the removal of that material is a good idea though.

All of this does seem like a lot of work, when all you have to do to get better brakes on our XJ600 is a set of braided brake lines and semi-metallic or sintered brake pads. But to each his own as this sounds like more of a just to see if I can do it type project.

Its not a lot of work. I already have ss brake lines and a brake caliper so I will give it a try.

Its not on a short term. I will Let you know.

Front change Will cost much more.
