In the process of doing my valves, I noticed that the cam guide on the valve cover is badly worn. There is even a little notch in the screw holding the guide in place.

The chain itself seems in good shape, I can't lift teeth off the gears, and it doesn't deflect much. I don't see any damage to the chain either. I expect that someone loosened the tensioner when the bike was running for some reason....

Is there something I should check for in particular before I just replace the guide and button everything up?

Also, is there a good, cheap replacement rather than the 30-50$ OEM part?
