Trans America Trail (on an XJ)?

I don't even know if its possible. But I'm thinking about attempting the Trans American Trail (TAT) on my Scrambled XJ600, skipping some of the more technical portions (if possible) and leaving those to the dirt bikes. I have a lot of research, lot of map reading, and lots of ride reports to see if its feasible.



Anyone want to join me? Mid summer sometime? XJ specific. Anyone?

That looks like an awesome route. I've been through SE Colorado in my truck and still say it's some of the most beautiful sights I've seen. I'd love to join you if I'm not in Alaska this summer.

Go for it. With a bit of extra ground clearance, you'll be fine. (Though a bit sweaty.)

I'm working on an XJ capable route which travels much of the TAT but that avoids some of the more technical sections where the XJ is likely to perform poorly. More, soon.

I'd love to do that, but I dont' think it's in the cards. I am hoping to move back to CO early next year, so dont' hesitate to plan one then!
