I got my bike not too long ago and I finally took it out on the interstate. I was testing out a pair of gloves my girlfriend bought me for christmas. They keep my hands 1000x warmer than my old summer gloves. I was warm everywhere, except my legs. I need some overpants.
But...onto the ride.
I don't live far from the interstate and hadn't really seen what this bike could do. So on that on ramp I decided to get up to speed a little quicker than usual. Wow, can these xj600's haul. I was impressed with the speed and power it could offer with such a small engine. I am used to driving a 2.4L truck so that is probably the fastest 0-60 I have ever done. All in all it was interesting, bike keeps itself upright even with all the wind. Made it up to my friends 24th bday party in 40 degrees, came back in 35.
It feels so great to be out on the road, I can barely drive my tacoma with my windows up anymore.
