I bought a 1999 Yzf600r and put the front end on my daily rider(pics on that soon) and I had some parts left as I got the bike with a blown motor for 300 and I also have a xj frame so I did this and wanted to know what everyone thought and it wasn't hard at all I did that in a few hours I have some welds to finish and spacers for the shock but that's about it down side was to do this I had to cut out the center stand to fit it so I'm interested in what everyone thinks

Yes the chain surprising as it was to me will line up and although I haven't tested the shock set up with the engine in it its got good movement and is alot softer than the original it shouldn't be much longer until I am able to test it out ill take more detailed pics when I take it back apart to finish the welds and do a write up on how I did it

I am trying to see the shock upper mount and the knuckle frame mount in a little more detail.

It looks like you cut the center stand mounting tube and welded on a bracket for the knuckle frame mount. (OEM? What from, the YZF600R?)
