Well, that's a thing. Good luck. Any plans for the front end?

Tear down

There appears to be no damage on the block, but parts have been removed prior to me. If any of this is something you are interested in, send me a PM. While I dont have a true machine shop, I can clean everything up.

Rear rim and bearings are in excellent shape. I was really surprised with the bearings, and axle. Tire is not good. Melted plastic/electronic goop

I'll most likely have an update in the next few days. But in the meantime..

Tomorrow I plan on having the black motor, swing-arm, little bits I am keeping, and rear rim washed up.

Plans are ( eventually)

.updated front and rear end ( shocks/forks/rims/brakes).
.clip-on bars.
.Tank ( mostly likely from another bike) I love the stock tank, but to be honest, that has always been a dead give away.
.Rear section could be a one-off custom vaccuum formed piece. ( maybe) if not, I will probly go something like the R6, or similar.
. Rear sets will either be from the '98 version, or, from another bike, and fabbed to fit.
.Headlight will be something akin to a Grom, M-109, or the Honda Nm04-01.. ( but that is a $700 unit. Not going to happen unless i get VERY lucky ) most likely the Grom. Will see.

Pics, and sketches in a few days.

Interesting note: Apparently majority of XJ riders were " only form of transport" riders. Reason I say is because I noticed both the motors share the same flaw. Broken case, near the front sprocket.

The black motor had so much grease, and tar build up, I found a master link! And the screw that was missing to the sensor/switch. :P
