Bought a cheapy (£200) that had been standing for a few years.
Sorted various issues, Seized rear caliper / VERY rusted tank / rotted petcock.
The good news is after cleaning plugs and carbs, filling with fresh oil / filter, rigging a temp fuel supply it burst into life after priming the carbs and spinning over half a dozen times, sounds great. Happy days !!

The bad news is after checking all the relays and connections for corrosion and giving them a squirt of cleaner it wont start on the button, starts fine when I bridge the starter solenoid ?

Neutral light comes on in neutral, goes off in gear.
Oil light off then on when pressing starter button.
Tried button with sidestand up and down also clutch lever pulled, no go on button

Re-checked the relay blocks, did'nt find any pins not connecting or broken ones. Any ideas ?

It's not how old you are, It's how you are old.
