Well done. That's how they are supposed to sound. I'm impressed you were able to split the cases twice; I'd have found having to do a job like that a second time, well, demotivating.

To day was a good day, the 1st attempt to start the bike after the pull down and rebuild.

I was hoping everything would go as planned and it did i was greatly surprised that after a few attempts as the carbs float bowls need to full up the bike pleasantly came to live..

This made me VERY happy indeed.. once it warmed up i was able to push in the choke and it would idle nicely by its self..

here a little video of it:

Have made some small additions to the bike.

1.. I had to purchase an new fuel tap as the orginal one was leaking from the diaphragm joint. So picked one up for a Raptor pefect fit and only cost a fraction of the cost of the repair kit from the orginal. Downside i will need to remember to turn it off after each use..

2... Installed the new Polaris Fuel pump.. after some installation problem (my fault) got the pump the work. This is an exzact match of the orginal. I had purchased a cheap china one but a brand new Polaris one poped up locally for only $10 more ($30 total) so i had to get it.. now i have a cheap spare..

3.. New ignition switch came with a different connector a 3 pin as my bike only has a 2 pin and a extra blue wire. After discussing with Radare the blue extra wire is for the park lights. After his suggestion the connectors were able to mate up together to confirm functionality. Success!!!
I will now buy a new connection kit and swap it in.

4.. Waiting for new clutch plates to arrive. For some reason my clutch will not disengage and always stalls when putting into gear... i have checked and doubled check and cannot figure ot out yet. All i know is the current clutch is basically gone..

5.. Lastly got a new tank cap from ebay china made. Looks good and fixed right. Only time will tell. At least now i have one.. [emoji4]

sounds like its starting to come together nicely

mine nearly always stalls the first time I put it in gear, I normally have to put it in neutral and push it forward a foot or so and then it starts and goes into gear no problem at all. no idea why though
