Side Stand Sensor

Hello everyone, as I had mentioned, I am still in the process of finishing my bike, and I still have yet to hook up the side stand sensor. As of yet I have not experienced any sort of interruptions with it totally unattached, and I wondered what ill effects I may encounter. I have no desire to have this on my bike, so I am hoping I can just leave it off. Thanks
