I'm sitting at a coffee shop, having a coffee and some pumpkin bread, and watching the Scrambler out the window. Two guys on some really nice Road Kings walk up and start looking it over. You can see the smiles on their faces as they walk around it, trying to figure out what it is. Eventually they walk away, smiling and talking.

This happens all the time, at gas stations, coffee shops and other break stops and I'll admit, I love it. It's good to see interest in these old bikes, even if it's mere curiosity. Wonder what they would say if they knew it was an old Seca II in new clothes.
That bike is sexy and unique, but still vaguely familiar.

I meant to post this earlier. Just didn't get a chance.

The pegs I ordered from China came. These were listed as fitting a TDM850. They look good.

I did have to modify them a bit to get them to sit flush.

They feel really nice on the bike. I like the extra width.

I bet they would just congratulate you on a job well done and possibly grab a drink with you. ;)

Wider pegs are a great help offroad. Love the ones you found. They look great. I am still looking for a decent set for the Tiger, though I have also put that up for sale. Depending on whether I get a decent offer on it, I might part with it. ;)

I had the bike out a few days back and K asked me to bring home some ingredients for nachos. I already had mountain bike tires in each of the side bags so I decided to bolt on and use that MotoCentric bag I bought ages ago. Worked well, easy to fit on the Scramblers rear rack, and gives me another cubic-foot of space. Pretty happy with the expandability.

That looks like a sweet little bag. :)

I think this is kinda cool. with the rear bag fitted, I can carry 10 quarts of transmission oil on the bike (could probably carry 12 if I squished one more into each sidebag).
