Hello every body I have been waiting to do this for a while but better late than never. my name is Frank and Im from LA california! :geek:
im a little  but I love to tinker with what I have!

meet my project! she is dirty but I  her. :

I know what you are thinking it's in ruff shape but it was in a lot worse! I didn't document the removal of the gas tank and all the blockage of RUST!!! in the petcock! :wallbash: or the three day pine sol soak but I wet my diaphragm with carb cleaner, so i was ready to clean it, mount it and test it and she is alive!!!!
the carbs are clean and the gold plated wasn't eaten by the 60% pine sol 30% water.

I took off both of the foot pegs and soda blasted it

I found that my tank was rustier than i thought!!! so i took the tank off and im going to derust with AQUARIUM GRAVEL.
I went to PETCO and picked up two bags aquarium gravels, but I really only needed one of the bag!
Image

so first step I taped both openings with duct tape!!

I opened the gas tank and put the gravel inside the gas tank and shake the crap out of it!!! "or if your old ladys not home wrap it up in towels and throw it into the dryer on fluff (dont want heat)"
Image

after five minutes of agressive shaking!!!

thats all for the tank....
