Well, I guess I'll post some stuff.

I picked up my Seca from a Craigslist add on Thanksgiving day. I went to look at it and took a friend of mine who worked for years at a Honda dealer. He checked it all out, gave it a clean bill of health, and I laid down $500 on it the next week. After tax return and $1500 more, it was mine!!! This is my first bike. In some ways I am glad there isn't a giant aftermarket for these bikes, as I hope it will keep my mod-bug in check.

Anyway, here are some plans I have for the bike, probably stock up on parts this summer, and begin the build next winter.

1. FZR600 front and rear swaps with R1 calipers and FZR clip-ons, with the FZR front and rear wheels.
2. V&H pipes and jet kit, with some proper tuning, want to see 45mpg out of the old girl.... only getting 38 now.... Maybe go over entire engine, valve cover gasket leak discoved recently.
3. Corbin seat and new pegs.
4. Cosmetics: '01 R6 undertail, new paint scheme (REALLY considering something similar to Radare's Phoenix  ), SECRET custom headlight project, want to try and find some sleek, modestly small hardbags that I can paint to match the new color scheme.

Here's some pictures I snapped today. Please excuse the crappy phone pictures. I took them in a certain order and now they're all screwed up.

Sounds like a fun build! No way i could bring myself to paint the pretty black factory frame though lol if i coukd suggest anything it would be to go ahead and put a vstar 650 shock on there if you plan to ride 2 up its will stiffen up your rear a ton!

Okay, put ssome new mirror on, just some cheapies to try out some fairing mounted mirrors on the Seca... so far, not too bad, Just a little tough getting used to the new viewing angle. Sorry for cruddy pictures...........

My patented BigAz BikeLock:

Some not-so-great shots of the new mirrors.... cheap carbon fiber look makes me hurl, but they were dirt cheap:

Some things I have learned: The fairing on the bike is pretty stable, not a lot of bounce on the mirrors.... however, I think I will have to beef up or add some metal bracketry to it, to firm it up some more. I also found, to my pleaseant surprise, that no new holes needed drilled... the factory windscreen holes on the side are almost exactly the right distance apart. However, the adjustment on this particular set of mirrors sucks for this application. To be where I want them, I would have to have mounted tham at the top of the windscreen.... Not gonna happen while I'm keeping the clear look at least. Anyways, on to some bling:

(Killer sound though!)

AAAAAnnnndddd my VStar shock arrived..... and it's bent on the bottom mount :(

Also, first post updated with more precise build plans for later this summer/ winter, since I keep finding more and more things with the bike that need a little TLC. Yes, that's right, the learning channel.....
