All Seca II's, XJ600's and Diversions came with a plastic spacer on the shift-shaft, behind the front sprocket cover. This spacer serves to protect the shift shaft and its seal from damage caused by chain contact or debris. If you are missing yours and want to make a replacement in a pinch, here are the specs.

The stock spacer is made of nylon and measures 1.685" long. It has an ID of 0.585" and an OD of 0.800". It slips over the shift shaft and protects it from the chain.

For a hardware-store replacement, 1/2" Schedule 80 PVC pipe will work, cut to the length specified above.
